AGM meeting at Studley Wood and The Hall

Eighteen Aularians assembled at Studley Wood G.C. on 19th August for the AGM of the Society. We had the pleasure of welcoming Rob Weinberg to his first meeting and it was a delight to see Arwyn Hughes back after some enforced absence and in fine fettle too.

Despite the dry summer, the course was in exceptional condition, the weather really pleasant and the golf, generally, impressive – particularly that of the winner of the Aularian Jigger, John (Collers) Collingwood who amassed the grand total of 43 points!

A feat accomplished despite a fall at the final fence (18th) the injury from which severely tested the first aid skills of the Studley management!

The ‘19th’ was enjoyed in bright sunshine on the club terrace.

John Dennis, David McCammon, George Marsh, Nick Harley.

Mike Simmie, Ian Durrans, Nigel Banks,  Andrew Beardmore, Bruce Day

Tony Moore, David West and Chris Hockey with their ‘Marrows’ – presented to the team that put in the most effort without the deserved results!
